HECATE ENTHRONED To 'Return' With New Album In The Spring
December 13, 2003British black metallers HECATE ENTHRONED have changed the title of their upcoming album to "Redimus" from the previously announced "Acts Of God".
"We enter The Blueroom Studios in Manchester on the 3rd of January for 3 weeks with the option for an extra week," the band write on their web site. "Either way, it will all be done in January for an April/May release. As for producer, we will be producing it ourselves with help from the in-house engineer and owner Phi. The decision to produce ourselves was made after a lot of thought and discussion, we have built up a lot of experience between us over the years and felt that we could do a good job and more importantly this would give us more control over the album, it will sound how we want it too. We have worked with some good producers on previous albums and they have all stmped there personalities onto the release that's what producers do, but this time it will all be ours.
"The name 'Redimus' was chosen, it means 'We return' in Latin, self explanatory really. We feel the songs are much stronger than before, better crafted, we feel we have achieved a good balance between esoteric and all out brutality. There are a lot of classic HECATE moments in there as well as some new vibes, the album probably leans more towards 'Miasma' than 'Kings Of Chaos' in that it is very varied yet the songs do flow together. We are sure that none of you will be disappointed, whether it's the chaotic brutality or the epic feel you crave."
"Redimus" track listing:
01. No One Hears
02. An Eternal Belief - I Am Born Part III
03. The Shining Delight
04. Headhunter
05. Soil Of Sin
06. The Face Of Betrayal
07. Choose Misanthropy
08. As Fire
09. Overriding Imagination
In addition, there will be three more as-yet-untitled tracks, two of which are instrumentals.
